Computer Science papers have two very different halves: theory that must be learnt, and programming that must be practised. Most students are good at one and weak at the other. Our tutors balance both.

Theory vs Programming
| Part | Common problem | Our approach |
|---|---|---|
| Theory | Long definitions, networking and database terms | Short notes, diagrams and quick recall tests |
| Programming | Logic errors and blank-page panic | Dry runs on paper, then coding practice step by step |
Learn by Doing
Programming cannot be learnt by reading. Where a laptop is available at home, the tutor writes and runs programs with the student. Where it isn’t, the tutor uses dry runs on paper, which is also how many board questions are asked.
Levels We Teach

Frequently Asked Questions
My child understands theory but cannot write programs. Can you help?
Yes. Programming practice is the main focus for most of our Computer Science students.
Do we need a laptop at home?
It helps, but it isn’t required. Tutors also teach programming through dry runs on paper.
Do you offer professional computer courses?
No, we teach school, board and Cambridge Computer Science only.
